I’m hopping back a couple of seasons again. This time I’m revisiting the beautiful Georgian market town of Holt in Norfolk. After escaping a sudden downpour during our walk in Sheringham Park, we drove through this little town seeking shelter and food. Well, the charm of this town captured our hearts immediately.
The characterful flint stone lined streets are filled to the brim with independent shops. There were cafes, bakeries, galleries and antique shops aplenty, which felt very special to experience. It was so lovely wandering through the narrow streets; watching E’s joy at exploring a new place. Together we discovered an abundance of colour and blooms at almost every corner… The sight of the flint stone cottages overspilling with plants is one of my most loved traits of coastal towns.
This delightful town was the perfect place for us to spontaneously explore after a little detour on our day trip. I hope you enjoy these picture postcard moments and find some inspiration in this little afternoon stroll too.
